The Golden Touch - Silver Clay Jewellery Making Workshop - West Yorkshire
Come and join us for this amazing experience where you will design and make your own pendant or earrings from recycled silver clay and learn how to incorporate touches of real 24ct gold.
Introducing the art of Keum boo, our workshop will guide you through the techniques used in this ancient Korean art to add accents of real gold to your jewllery.

This workshop is ideal for the beginner or anyone wishing to further develop their silver clay jewellery making skills.
In this workshop you will begin by learning the fundamentals of working with silver clay and how to set up your workstation and prepare you tools and your project.
From there, you will learn how to handle, texture, cut, shape and condition your silver clay. Next you will refine your silver clay ready for firing and at this stage you will be shown how to drill your piece for attaching your chain and bail. And then, once fired, you will be shown how to polish and detail your jewellery.
Now you will be guided through the amazing process of Keum Boo where you will be adding beautiful 24ct gold to your newly made silver jewellery.
All tools and materials are provided, including enough silver clay to make a pendant or a pair of earrings and an amount of gold for your keum boo. More silver clay and gold is available to purchase on the day should you wish to make something else.
You will also receive a hypoallergenic stainless steel chain or stainless steel ear wiresas standard to complete your piece. We also have a selection of sterling silver chains and sterling silver ear hooks to purchase seperately if you would like to upgrade your finished piece.
